                           What is Structured Wiring?

In the past, homes were wired for only basic services like electricity, telephone, and cable TV. That's not enough to take advantage of today's new technologies.

Future Smart Homes Today will install a communication wiring network that connects all the rooms in your home to a central location. From there, services like telephone, fax, and high speed Internet can be routed to any room in the house. Conveniences like satellite, cable, and closed circuit TV can be enjoyed wherever you choose.

There are also specialized wall and floor outlets for home theater, music and sound, and home offices.

The home wiring networks we install have the future in mind, so when new technologies like interactive TV, digital television (HDTV), and video-on-demand become available, they can easily be made part of your home and your lifestyle.

Your home will be "technology ready.", and will also have increased resale value.

The Structured Wiring System utilizes 4 types of cabling

    (1) Category  5 wiring - All telephone and computer cables are 4-pair CAT5 unshielded twisted pair, the commercial networking industry standard.  This wiring handles Computer networks, Internet access, telephone and fax service.  The wiring is designed to carry much more data than standard telephone wiring.  It is also used for hardwired for multi-room audio systems infrared control keypads, security keypad, touch screens etc.

    (2) RG6 Coaxial Cable - Is used for video distribution of satellite, cable, cable modems, camera's and even VCR's, DVD and other such sources.

    (3) Low Voltage Wiring  -  Used for your security system devices like door & window contacts, motion detectors, carbon monoxide & gas detectors, water sensors, freeze alarms etc.

    (4) Standard 110V electrical wiring ((Power line)  Used by the Integrated Home Systems to send instructions to light switches, outlets and appliances over the electrical wiring.

Computer Network

Many homes have multiple computer these days.  Dad has a computer in the office, the children may each have one in their rooms and maybe a place set aside for a communication center in the kitchen. Your local cable and telephone company provide high speed internet access to a single computer location.  They typically do not install or support computer networks.

We can install a router which sits behind the cable/dsl modem and connects 4 to 8 computer in the home to the internet. All computers can simultaneously access the internet, share files, printers and even play games.
