Smart Homes & how they work?
Integrated home automation systems take care of the
daily routines such as adjusting the temperature and
lighting and more for you. Based on the time of day,
whether you
are away, home or on vacation, or even having a
party. The system acts like a traffic cop, always watching
out for you, then making decisions based on events, that you
decide, then commanding a device\system to do what you would
like automatically
Integrated home systems let you control your home
locally or remotely, using keypad, touch screen, telephone,
computer and more. Instead of manually adjusting heating,
cooling, lighting, and many other subsystems, and Integrated
Home System puts your home on Home Automation systems
integrate other systems in the home that have worked
independently of each other in the past.
Home automation systems link many common devices, like
,telephones, thermostats, security systems, fire alarms,
lighting, sprinkler systems, personal computers even
televisions into an intelligent network. Using the
security sensors as the eyes and ears for your home
and having the ability to control these other home systems,
your home can adjust to your life style. If a specific
event occurs, what would you like to happen in response to
that event.

What are the benefits?
When you leave the house for the day, you can set the
"Away" mode with the touch of a button. This mode arms the
security, adjusts the heating/cooling to preset temperature
setback routines, and turns off unnecessary controlled
lights. When you go on vacation, the "Vacation" button can
arm the security, set back the heat (think of the energy
savings!), and randomly sequence the house lights to look
lived in while you are away.
Have you ever forgot to turn off a light or arm the
alarm system before you leave? With an Integrated Home
System, you can call from any phone and check, which lights
are on, or off. Then you can turn any light on or off or
arm the security system. You can also set temperatures in
the house to your liking, in anticipation to your arrival,
or simply turn the A/C off.
Integrating thermostats into the system allows you to
control your homes different heating\cooling zones
automatically and according to you daily lifestyle.
Why come home to a dark
house? An Integrated Home System will automatically turn
the outside lights at dusk, or when a driveway sensor is
tripped, the system will automatically turn on designated
lighting for you. The system in essence, welcomes you home.
A "Dinner Party" button sets the lighting, turns
on a gas fireplace, and plays soft music in the background.
When the "Good Night" button is pressed, all the
unused lights will turn off, the garage door will close, the
security system will be armed, and the heat is reduced in
unused areas.
Ever get up in the middle of the night for that
late-night snack or to feed your newborn baby? With your
security systems motion detectors, the Integrated Home
System can sense your movement, so path-lights will turn on
and lead your way. No more stubbing your toe, or walking
into a wall on your way to the kitchen.
In the event of an emergency, a single button can turn
on selected lights immediately or happen automatically.
Integrated home control systems are limited on by your
imagination. |

The
Basics of Preset Lighting
To preset a lighting scene is similar to how you would
preset your favorite radio station - one for each station;
one for each scene. When we talk about lighting zones we
mean a light or group of lights controlled by one switch or
dimmer. Vary the lighting by zone (the lights in one zone
may be on full , in another at 50 percent) to create
different scenes. Scenes are lighting environments created
to match your room activities. Simply adjust the intensity
of lights in the various zones to match your activities:
general use would have one setting, reading, entertaining,
and watching movies or special events another. Set them once
and you never have to recreate them again.
